Thankfulness: I’m thankful for the constant stirring in my mind and creating new thought patterns. I see a little bit of change every day. I am so thankful what being aware of my thoughts does to help me take them captive and give them to God.
Step 1 (capture thoughts): I have zero right to be irritable. Zero right to be offended. Zero right to withhold affection. I long to have a hear that loves and fears God and lives from that position at all times.
Step 2 (focused Reflection): Hebrews 11:1 Confidence in what we hop for. The hopes I’ll be confident in – inner peace (apart from my circumstances). Inner Joy. Walking in step with the Holy Spirit. Audience of ONE. Wisdom and discernment.
Step 3 (journal) – because I put my trust in God (fully) I can be confident that He is renewing my and my thoughts and my actions. That through HIM my inner joy and peace will grow and stay; transforming my toxic thoughts that keep me in bondage and allow me to be free and walking with the Spirit. Not anxious, worried, fearful, irritable, broken hearted… But abounding with love, joy and peace.
Step 4 (pray and listen) – Let them be them. Be prepared by not negatively “prophesying” (ex: I will be so mad when____) Instead think (if ___ happens, this is how I will show grace) Think positive about myself and others
Step 5 (Active Reach) – Say to myself: I have no right to complain. I have no right to judge. I have no right to be irritable. Do not let tiny offences by others stir up negativity with in me.
