With a huge storm rolling through our area and 3 days without power – creativity with food has become a joyous adventure.
If we had water id be totally find without electricity (for a while at least)
The girls have been asking for cheese fries for days so I made some from scratch and grilled it – turned out awesome! (It’s a little light on color and void of greens for me – but that’s the way the girls like it)
Dough Ingredients:
- 2 1/2 cups Italian 00 organic flour
- 1tbs baking powder
- 1tsp salt
- 1 cup milk
- 1tsp Italian seasoning
Directions:
- Preheat grill
- Mix all ingredients till a dough forms (no power but by hand was super simple)
- Roll out dough on grill mat
Toppings
- 2tbs ghee
- 1tsp (or more for taste) garlic Powder
- Shredded cheese
- Parmesan cheese
Drizzle the ghee over the crust then coat the crust (don’t soak it) sprinkle on garlic powder to taste and top with cheese
Grill for 10-15 minutes or until done.
