Protein Mug Cake

Getting enough protein has been a big focus of mine lately. Did you know that you should have 0.8-1.0 g of protein per pound of body weight? For me, that would be between 112-138g of protein.

After watching my food for a couple I realized that I was only getting around 86g of protein a day, made sense why I felt like my fitness goals weren’t happening.

Now, I do not think it is wise to reach your protein goals by depending on powders and bars, but sometimes it is a great option – especially if it helps me get the last little bit of protein I need in the form of a dessert!

Ingredients:

  • 3 tbs PB fit powder
  • 2 tbs chocolate protein powder (check out their awesome flavors – I like to use the late one in my coffee)
  • 1 tsp cocoa powder
  • 1/4 tsp baking powder
  • 1-2 tbs chocolate chips
  • 1/4 c fairlife 2% milk (or milk of choice)

Instructions

  1. combine PB fit, protein powder, cocoa powder, milk, and baking powder in a mug or shallow dish
  2. Mix in Chocolate chips if using
  3. Microwave for 1-minute

I like to top mine with 1/2 tbs of peanut butter for extra gooey goodness
