I love Jesus and fitness. And real wellness requires both. After years of chasing and striving to “arrive” at my ideal weight and health – it dawned on me that the arrival will never happen. It’s a journey every day turning away from one way of living and turning toward another.
Sadly, it took too long to arrive at this mindset and that is why I created Anchored Female. Many of us are chasing after our personal ‘arrival point’ in our lives and in all of our pursuing we’re hurting our body’s by unknowingly getting sick, hurting our minds as we are constantly filled with discouragement and comparison and destroying our souls as we lose a little more hope every single day. It wasn’t until I found myself sick, overwhelmingly tired, and emotionally empty that I finally begin to connect my love for Jesus to my love for fitness, food, nutrition, and life as a whole.
All the willpower in the world is empty without the strength that anchoring our health in Christ provides.
As you meet me here you’ll learn how to discover your unique approach to health, fitness, and life through the lens of your personal needs and gifts. Because we are all created uniquely our approach to fitness and nutrition should also be unique to us. Trying to fit ourselves into what society says is the ideal weight, body type, food… is leaving us sick and tired. We should approach everything uniquely except for one key and vital component – Scripture. Today I’m committed to living healthy and whole – I’d like to use my experiences to support moms as they heal themselves and teach their daughters self-worth, values, and standing firm in who they are. I want to inspire female warriors of all ages to live boldly for Christ and healthy in body, mind, and spirit.
